Working Woman Wednesday! The Power of Imagination, were you a Barbie Girl?

Growing up, my life was all about BARBIE! I would spend hours setting up my Barbie house and store fronts!

My imagination was beyond belief. I wanted to be a lawyer, ballerina, gymnast  singer, own a clothing store and help people!

Playing with Barbie dolls allowed me to dream,  think about who I was and what I loved to do!ft-fben-tw1

Many women have this same experience and Mattel wants the future generation of young girls to see Barbie in the same light. Granted, people have had a lot to say about Barbie and the need to create dolls for all shapes, sizes, skin tones and hair styles. Barbies are much more diverse than when I was a kid.

Believe. Dream. Create. Do.

Mattel has come out with a great new commercial, that made me remember what I loved so much about playing with Barbie dolls when I was little. I created vivid stories on what I wanted my life to be like. What I wanted my future to be. It was so clear to me at a young age.

P.S. I secretly still want to be a ballerina! I go to the ballet every chance I get!

Beyond everything that is going on in the world, we have to empower our young girls, that they can be/do anything! They have to imagine the possibilities! The sky is the limit!

Check out the video below and let me know your thoughts!
