1. Dress Appropriately. If you work for a more conservative company, think of this when you are preparing for the Holiday Party. Also, look at the invitation, it will most likely give you some sort of guidance and expectation on how you should look. Air on the conservative side if you are unsure of what to wear. Be Festive and Professional. You can add more SPARKLE and GLAM because that is a part of the season, but watch the fit of your outfit and your hem and necklines. 🙂 (Check out the items above for outfit ideas). 3. This is a time to NETWORK! The company Holiday party is NOT optional. Company parties mean that you will be in one room with all the employees of your organization at one time. Take this time to hang out with people in your department, but also meet new folks that you may not get the chance to chat with on a regular basis or do not know. It’s always great to know others in all levels of your company. I met someone at my companies holiday party last year and learned so much about a division in my organization that I never knew existed! REMEMBER, it pays to be pleasant and nice:) You could be talking to your next boss or team mate, you never know.
I hope these tips prepare you for your company’s upcoming Holiday soiree! Share with us below how you prepare for your companies Holiday festivities!
