Fashion Find Friday! How I Scored Items on Sale for 60% off!

This past weekend was a GREAT time to go SHOPPING! There were so many sales! Labor Day is usually a good time to shop, mainly because its back to school time.

I took advantage of the this time at two retailers that I won’t shop at often, Banana Republic and The Limited. Both stores are great for working women need to look professional, yet chic and fashionable! These stores do not promote themselves as “plus size” stores, but they do carry clothing that can fit the curvy girl!

I was looking to update my wardrobe with a couple of items, that could help me transition into fall. See what I bought below!

I ADORE the trend of sleeveless blazers/vests. From Banana Republic, I purchased the Double-Breasted Long Vest in the color Blush. If you saw my post awhile ago, you already know that I love the color (it also comes in black). I purchased the vest in a size 12. It is fitted and my plan is to wear the vest on a more casual scale. I  think that it is a GREAT piece for brunch, date night or other fashion events around town! The vest was originally $110.00, it was 40% last weekend. When trying on the vest I saw a spot on the back of the vest, it looked like dust or dirt of some sort. I pointed out to the cashier and she gave me an additional 20% for the vest (the damage discount made it final sale). I ended up spending about $56.00 for the vest. It is a high quality fashion forward piece that I am sure to get my wear out of this season.

totebagAnyone who know me, knows that I have a full collection of handbags. I love collecting cute purses whether they are designer or from Target, I am a sucker for a nice bag.

From The Limited, I purchased the Structured Tall Tote in Gray. The color is actually unusual and I thought it was more of a military green color. Everyone needs a polished structured bag that can be taken to the office and also used on the weekend. This IS that tote!

This tote was originally priced at $99.50, it was 50% off last weekend. In addition to the sale,  I also signed up for Limited text messages and got another 10% off the my purchase. I paid about $46.00 for the bag. It a good quality bag and I know I will be using it throughout the Fall and Winter months!

Just wanted to share my Fashion Finds with you! Both Limited and Banana Republic still have sales going on online and in stores! I encourage the curvy girls to think about these stores, as well as Ann Taylor, LOFT, New York and Company and Gap, next time you go shopping. None of these stores really promote it, but all of them go up to a size 16 in stores and some have even more extended size options online. The price point for items in some of these stores listed are often more than I can afford to spend, so I have trained myself to watch out for the sales and purchase quality pieces from them when they are on sale!
