The Duchess of Dresses

SUMMATIME FINE!

I love the long sunny days that come with the season, but sometimes it’s hard to find clothes that fit for the weather that actually WORKS for WORK. We can’t maintain our professional image in the workplace wearing crop tops and distressed shorts. (insert side eye..)

This month with SHEIN, I wanted to offer tips on how to beat the heat and still SLAY at work.

Dresses are my go to in the Summer and they never fail me! Often in the Summer you lose motivation to look your best, everyone is on vacation and you sometimes feel like you are the ONLY person working! Dresses are the easiest thing to wear because you don’t have to worry about pairing tops with skirts/pants to make sure the whole outfit looks good.

No Thinking Needed.

The Boat Neck Self-Tie Dress  (Search ID: 460433) from SHEIN can be perfectly paired with any shoe or accessories and can be worn in ANY setting! Work, Church, Dinner with your Grandma! ANYWHERE! Remember Ladies we need to make our clothes work for us!

I paired this dress with a nude sandal, gold necklace, and work tote to give you a perfect workplace chic look! Plus it has pockets! (who doesn’t love that) I got this dress in a size 2XL and it is kinda tight in the arms. If you are fuller in the chest or arms you will need to size up! This dress can be jazzed up for the night by adding a statement necklace or earrings.

PAUSE FOR REAL TALK…

I know many women worry about chub rub in the Summer and I am not a stranger! Monistat Anti Chafing Gel solves all those problems and keeps me wearing my fav dresses! I also have heard great things about Mega Babe Thigh Rescue and Bandelettes. Don’t diss dresses in the Summer because you are worried about your thighs rubbing together! I also prefer to wear light shapewear in the summer to smooth things out.
