My Trip to NOLA! #EssenceFest #GirlsTrip

Hey Ya’ll it’s been a LONG time! The past few months my life has been consumed by BOOKS, BOYFRIEND AND BRIDES! I am in my second year of my Education Doctoral Program, trying to make time to see my Boyfriend and planning my friends Bridal Shower and preparing for her destination wedding!

It was a breath of fresh air to take a BREAK from it all and going to NOLA for Essence Fest with some of my closest girlfriends.

Writing a post to share all the fun and of course my FABULOUS outfits!

Day One: My travel outfit! I always stay comfy and cute when I travel! When I arrived to NOLA my college roomie treated us to a full body message! Roomie’s since 2008!

Day Two: The first day at the Expo! Empowered by women of color speaking about enterpreunership and taking in the sights!

The theme around the Business presentations was Grow, Run, Thrive!

I stayed casual and cute in my ModCloth Dress and Clutch from Akira Chicago.

Day Three: OPRAH!! I was able to see one of my lifetime idols! She was AMAZING of course. Main takeaway, INTENTIONALITY. Know your intention and understand the intentions of others for you!

Day Four: French Quarter Brunch and BadBoy Reunion! Spent the day eating every dessert in the French Quarter, traveling on the street car with my college roomies and reliving my Middle School days at the Bad Boy Reunion!
